Special Correspondent | Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) — In a landmark milestone for the nation’s culture and entertainment sector, Bangladesh has received an official institutional invitation to participate in the upcoming edition of the world-renowned Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah. The historic participation is being organized and facilitated with overall support from the Bangladesh Consulate General in Jeddah.

To highlight this achievement and chart out future steps, a special exchange of views took place at the Casa Diora Hotel in Jeddah alongside members of the **Reporters Association of Saudi Arabia (Western Region).

Chief Guest: Nashin Ahmed, a senior official nominated by the Red Sea Film Festival and Government Advisor on Community Affairs.
Welcome Address: M. Y. Alauddin, Chief Advisor of the Reporters Association, set the tone by highlighting the diplomatic and cultural importance of Bangladesh’s debut on this premier global cinematic platform. Moderation: The proceedings were conducted under the direction of Mohammad Firoz, Senior Joint General Secretary of the Reporters Association.
Key organization leaders delivered speeches and shared strategic recommendations, including: Hanis Sarkar ujjal (General Secretary), Bahar Uddin Bakul (Advisor), Masud Selim (Senior Vice President), Sajidul Islam (Vice President), Rafiqul Haque Chowdhury (Publicity & Publication Secretary), Attending Members: R. Speaking as the exclusive advisor for the designated ‘Bangladesh Pavilion’, Nashin Ahmed detailed the key opportunities awaiting the Bangladeshi film contingent:

2. Complimentary Logistics & Visas: The festival authorities will provide completely free, hassle-free visas for participating Bangladeshi artists, producers, filmmakers, and technical crew.

3. Dedicated Cultural Showcase: Alongside official screenings, special cultural programs and live concerts are scheduled from December 6 to 11, designed specifically for the Bangladeshi diaspora in Saudi Arabia.
